Ron Lipnicki
Ron has been drumming since the age of 12 when he was inspired by seeing Buddy Rich play. He has gotten the chance to study with many great New Jersey teachers including Stu Miller and Joe Nevolo.
After graduating high school Ron enrolled at the Drummer’s Colective Institute of NYC at which he was under the tutelage of legendary conga player Frankie Malabe and many other influential drummers.
In 2000 Ron won the NJ regional Guitar Center Drum off which opened up new opportunities in the music world. He auditioned and obtained a gig with NJ thrash legends Hades and developed a creative relationship with guitarist Dan Lorenzo who later on introduced Ron to Overkill. He has been a member for 6 years and brings new energy to the band; he has been traveling the world touring recently returning from Australia and Japan .
Ron remembers recording the Hades CD Damnation in 2001 and recalls the Sonor Kit in the Studio – I simply fell in love with the sound and feel of Sonor Drums.
